Aeroport Roissy Charles de Gaulle

Roissy Charles de Gaulle is located 30km north-east of Paris and consists of 3 main terminals that are linked by a free shuttle bus. Flight Information: 01 48 62 22 80

By Bus: The 350 bus is the cheapest (and can sometimes be the most efficient) way to get to the apartment. The bus departs from the airport arrivals (the Information desk will tell you which door to go to). The final destination is Gare de L'Est which is only a 5 or 10 minute walk from the apartment. The bus only costs about 4.50 euros. Like the Metro it can get quite crowded depending on the time of day so watch all your luggage. The last bus departs the airport at 9.30pm.

When returning to the airport the bus departs on the street directly in front of Gare de L'Est. It goes about every 30 minutes on weekdays and about every 45 minutes on Sundays. There is a schedule posted at the bus stop. Since it is right next to the metro if you miss it you can take the metro/train. Obviously a bus is prone to traffic congestion so give yourself plenty of time when trying to catch a flight. You will be dropped off at the airport terminal.

The scheduled time of the journey is 45 minutes but beware, 2 hours has been know to happen.

By Train/Metro: Central Paris is linked to the airport by the RER rail system. To get to/from the airport take any RER B train to Paris and get off at the Gare de Nord train station.. The journey takes about 40 minutes and costs 7.60 euros. When you arrive at Gare de Nord transfer to the metro and take Line 5 one stop to Gare de L'Est and either walk to the apartment or take a taxi. It is only about a 5 to 10 minute walk.

If you decide to take the metro and train back to the airport it would be wise to purchase your tickets in advance. On holidays most of the ticket booths are closed (there will be one open at the Gare de Nord upper concourse which is quite difficult to find) and the automatic ticket dispensers only accept coins (they pretend to accept credit cards but good luck trying). Pay careful attention to both the departure platform when you enter the train station and make sure the train you get on goes to the airport since many trains share platforms. A TV monitor above the platform will show the stops each train makes.

By Shuttle/Shared Ride: Shuttle services at the airport cost from 25 euros for a single person or 19 euros for two or more people. PariShuttle (01 43 90 91 91 - www.parishuttle.com) and Paris Airports Service (01 55 98 10 80 - www.parisairportservice.com) provide door-to-door service. Book in advance.

By Taxi: Taxis to/from the airport cost from 35 to 50 euros depending on the traffic and time of day.

Aeroport d'Orly

Orly is about 18km south of the city. Flight Information: 01 49 75 15 15

By Train/Metro: An ADP shuttle links the airport with RER line C at Pont de Rungis- Aeroport d'Orly RER station every 12 to 20 minutes from 5.45am to 11pm. From the city take a C2 train code-named ROMI or MONA (indicated on the train lightboard) towards Pont de Rungis or Massy-Palaiseau. Tickets are valid for onward travel on the metro. If you arrive in Gare de Nord then transfer to the metro and take Line 5 one stop to Gare de L'Est and either walk to the apartment or take a taxi.

Taxi: A taxi to/from central Paris to Orly will cost about 30 euros and take 20 to 30 minutes depending on traffic.

Aeroport Beauvais

Beauvais is about 80km north of Paris.

By Bus: An express bus which leaves and picks up from Parking Porte Maillot leaves 2 1/2 hours prior to each Ryanair flight and leaves the airport 20 minutes after each arrival. Tickets for 10 euros each way can be purchased from Ryanair at the airport or from a kiosk in the parking lot. The trip takes about 1 hour. Go to the nearest metro station and take the metro to Gare de L'Est. From there the apartment is only about a 5 to 10 minute walk.
